The Fall Classic Golf Tournament is a fabulous and fun opportunity to socialize, network, showcase your business through sponsorship, reward employees and thank clients or simply get a bunch of neighbours and friends together for a fun day. You do not need to be a Chamber Member or even a local business to play in this tournament or sponsor! Fun is the Name of the Game

  • 1pm shot-gun start / 4-Person Scramble Format / Mixed or Same Gender teams
  • Prizes for Hole-in-One, Longest Drive (Women’s & Men’s), Closest-to-the-Pin, Closest-to-the-rope.
  • Golf games, including Putting Challenge.

Golfer Registration – $95 per person / $380 per foursome. Annually, we offer an EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION giving teams registered by July 31 a chance to win their entry fee!

Funds raised from this tournament go towards keeping the Welcome Centre open and operational year-round. The Welcome Centre provides tourism and visitor services to what’s known as the Grand Bend Area – which encompasses “borderless tourism” for visitors, tourists and residents in support of local businesses in Lambton Shores, Bluewater and South Huron.

Annual General Meeting of all Members

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the Chamber’s business event at which we elect directors, review and approve the audited financial statements, present the succeeding year’s budget and provide an annual report of the year’s events and activities.

The Chamber’s fiscal year runs from November 1 through to October 31. A financial audit is held to confirm the accuracy of the financial statements and compliance with current corporate legislation.

Held in February, this event provides members with an opportunity to informally discuss topics of interest and relevance with local representatives. The Mayor and Deputy-Mayor of Lambton Shores will be on-hand and, if timing allows, the MPP and MP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex counties. As well, key industry agency representatives typically attend such as Tourism Sarnia Lambton,  Southwestern Ontario Tourism Corporation and Sarnia Lambton Economic Partnership.

 

Celebrate the Season Business Awards Dinner

Host: Hessenland Country Inn

This business awards dinner provides an opportunity to celebrate and recognize business savvy, creativity, customer service and business contributions to the Grand Bend Area community. It’s also our largest event of the year. Celebrate the Season looks back to the passing year’s challenges and successes while looking forward to the new year to come.

Event Includes: guest speaker, award presentations, silent auction, socializing and fabulous dinner at one of the area’s foremost banquet facilities.

We encourage you to pre-pay for your tickets to reduce the workload on our volunteers on the evening of this event. If you’d prefer, ticket payment can be made at the door (please bring exact cash or cheque).
